California Sour flowers grow to a medium height and the buds are usually chunky and stick together. They have a dark forest green colour with brown and orange pistils, covered in a coat of translucent trichomes. These sticky buds give off a strong gasoline smell which is extremely pungent. The gasoline smell fills the air, though you can also detect hints of sourness, which will either enrich the aroma and make it smell extremely palatable, or you may hate it. When the buds are broken, they release a peppery smell reminiscent of Afghani. The smoke this strain produces is harsh and can make smokers cough, and on exhalation, it leaves scents of diesel and orange.
California Sour does not waste any time, as the effects kick in almost instantly. You may start to feel slightly dizzy after smoking, and then a quick headrush that feels like your cheeks are flushed. The head buzz does not last too long, and once it dissipates the real high will kick in. A sense of euphoria will rush through you as your mind will freefall into various ideas and concepts. Though you will want to explore every idea and will run through them with increasing speed, you will still be able to hold your focus. If you have a task to do or want to engage in a certain activity, a newfound motivation will spur you on as you tackle the activity.
You will also feel the sedative effects start to take hold. These effects will be negligible at first but they will slowly build, and if you smoke continuously then the Indica effects will take over. As your energy level drops you can find a place to sit or lay back and then lock yourself in for a period of undisturbed relaxation.
